"Great Scott!" - http://bttf.skippypodar.net
Welcome to my "new & improved" Back to the Future (BTTF) Website!
What can I say, what can I say? It was the summer of 1985. I was 17 years old and had just graduated from high school. Little did I know, my favorite movie was going to be released that summer. On July 3rd, 1985, Back to The Future was released and my family and I went to see the movie shortly after opening night.
I liked the movie for many reasons. First, was it funny. The chemistry between Christopher Lloyd (Dr. Emmett L. Brown) and Michael J. Fox (Marty McFly) was great, and they really brought out the friendship between the characters. Secondly, I'm a big science fiction fan. I'm particularly fond of time travel stories. Thirdly, I've been a DeLorean fan since I was 15 years old. Ever since the DMC-12 first came out, I've thought it was a cool looking car. Lastly, Robert Zemekis is a fantastic director (Contact and Forrest Gump being just two of his other movies I've really enjoyed). His partnership with Bob Gale on the BTTF Trilogy really made the movie franchise a success.
When the movies (BTTF 1-3) were released, the Internet didn't exist yet, but in 1995, I felt inspired to devote a section of my webspace to a BTTF oriented webpage. The first few versions of the site were rough, however as time progressed, I finally came up with a layout that worked well. We had links to the IMDB (Internet Movie Database) for all three movies, a section on "How Many Trips the DeLorean Made", "Alternate Timelines", a "Timecapsule/Guestbook" and "DVD History" (where I could vent my frustration at the 'sluggish' and almost 'glacial' release of the BTTF Trilogy on DVD).
With the creation of http://bttf.skippypodar.net, I thought it was time to give the page a major overhaul by incorporating new technology for page creation, and introducing a new "Did You Notice That?" page. I hope that you enjoy this site and it brings back fond memories of a movie series that has brought years of enjoyment to me.
